Misfit Toys
The Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Christmas television special has been broadcast since 1964. The animated series tells the story of Rudolph and also features Santa and Mrs. Claus. It also introduces audiences to the Island of Misfit Toys. The popular folk singer Burl Ives sang some songs for the show. Rudolph and Hermey the Misfit Elf, voiced by Paul Soles, run away from Santa’s workshop to make their own way n the world.
